Our Team

All our staff are qualified physiotherapists who have undergone a recognised Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy. They are registered with both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and  the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are recognised by all the major health insurance companies.

Andrew MacLeod BSc MCSP
(Managing Director/Practice Principal)





Andrew is our Practice Prinicipal and Managing Director. He is a physiotherapy graduate from Queen's College Glasgow (Caledonian University). He has extensive experience in working in hospitals in Canada and the UK and also worked in professional football for over 10 years as well as with a number of top sportsmen/sportswomen. Andrew has also provided physiotherapy cover for private hospitals and corporate organisations.

 Andrew is an Associate member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (ASOM), the Association of Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine and  the Organisation of Physiotherapy in Private Practice (OCPPP)-now Physio First.

 He has over 25 years physio experience, prefers a 'hands on'  manual therapy approach  in the treatment of musculosketal conditions, and specialises in spinal complaints and orthopaedic sports injuries.
He also enjoys a close-working relationship with some of the UK's top orthopaedic consultants.

Ryan MacLeod BSc (Hons) PGc MCSP HCPC

(Senior Physiotherapist)





Ryan graduated with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from Caledonian University Glasgow in 2010 and has since completed a PGc in Health and Social Care (Physiotherapy) in 2011. He worked within the NHS from 2012-2015 as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and currently works part-time in the occupational health field. He also has experience working within professional football and semi-professional rugby.

His main areas on interest include chronic back pain management, shoulder pain, management of tendon pain, and tennis-related injuries.

Outwith physiotherapy, Ryan is a keen sportsman having represented Scotland at both tennis and volleyball internationally. He attempts to incorporate his experiences of injury and rehabilitation gained through sport to his every day work.

Irene New BSc MCSP

(Associate Specialist in Neurological Services)



Irene is a specialist-physiotherapist in rehabilitation at Inverclyde Hospital with over 25 years experience having graduated along side Andrew from Queen's College. She specialises in the rehabilitation of patients with nuerlogical conditions such as stroke, head trauma and multiple sclerosis.

Irene is available for domicillary visits and can be contacted via Physiomac Physiotherapy.
